This specimen was lot 3402 in Künker sale 294 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €850 (about US$1,146 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Erzherzog Karl, 1564-1590. Dukat 1590, Klagenfurt. In US-Plastikholder der NGC mit der Bewertung AU 58. GOLD. Fast vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, archduke Charles, 1564-90, ducat of 1590, Klagenfurt mint, in NGC AU-58 holder. About extremely fine.)"
Friedberg listed this for 1565-70 and 1572-90 and notes it as fairly common. Archduke Charles issued many coins but never became emperor.
