This specimen was lot 74040 in Stack's Bowers May 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $4,636. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRALIA. 100 Dollars, 2022-P. Perth Mint. Elizabeth II. NGC MS-70. Kangaroo issue." Since 1989, Australia has entered the bullion and collectibles market in a big way, having produced commemoratives and NCLT's numbering in the hundreds of types. This design was also struck in a high relief version with a smaller diameter (KM 4421).
Recorded mintage: 682,539 plus proofs plus 200 in high relief (KM 4421, 27.6 mm diameter).
Specification: 31.10 g, 0.999 fine gold, 32.6 mm diameter.
