This specimen was lot 55470 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRALIA. 8 Dollars, 2011-P. Perth Mint. Elizabeth II. NGC PROOF-70 Ultra Cameo. First Year of Issue. Includes original COA #3435." The SCWC lists this coin for 2012, yet this example is clearly dated 2011. This denomination was also used for the Year of the Rabbit (KM 1477).

Recorded mintage: 5,000.

Specification: 155.5 g, 0.999 fine silver, 100 mm diameter, 5.000 troy oz ASW.
