This specimen was lot 70111 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRALIA. 15 Dollars, 2008-P. Perth Mint. NGC PROOF-70 Ultra Cameo. Hard mirrored fields with frosted devices. Koala series issue. .0999 of an ounce of pure gold contained." This issue is part of a suite of gold and silver bullion coins featuring the koala. Other series include the kangaroo and the Chinese lunar zodiac.

Recorded mintage: 5,030.

Specification: 3.11 g, 0.999 fine gold, 0.10 troy oz AGW.
