Sincona sale 51, lot 2245

This specimen was lot 2245 in Sincona sale 51 (Zürich, October 2018), where it sold for 325 CHF (about US$392 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"George V. 1910-1936. Sovereign 1929 P, Perth. NGC MS63."

This date, from a type struck 1929-31 at Perth (shown here) and Melbourne, is common.

Recorded mintage: 1,606,000.

Specification: 7.98 g, 0.917 fine gold.
