This specimen was lot 74287 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $65. The catalog description[1] noted, "ARMENIA. 10 Dram, 1998. PCGS PROOF-69 Deep Cameo. Commemorating the 10th anniversary of the earthquake on December 7, 1988." Wikipedia comments, "The 1988 Armenian earthquake, also known as the Spitak earthquake, occurred on 7 December at 11:41 local time with a surface-wave magnitude of 6.8 and a maximum MSK intensity of X (Devastating). The shock occurred in the northern region of Armenia which is vulnerable to large and destructive earthquakes. The complex incident ruptured multiple faults, with a strike-slip event occurring shortly after the initiation of the mainshock. Between 25,000 and 50,000 were killed and up to 130,000 were injured." This NCLT was struck at the Utrecht mint.
