Argentina 1930 10 centavos

This specimen features Oudiné's portrait of liberty, used on the ten centavos from 1896 to 1942, when the rising price of nickel forced the Argentine government to switch to aluminum bronze. It is accompanied by copper-nickel five and twenty centavos. The three types had the longest production run of any Argentine coin. They are very common in low grade but surprisingly scarce in choice condition.

Specification: 3 g, copper-nickel, 19.3 mm diameter, reeded edge, designed by Eugéne-André Oudiné (1810-1887).
