This specimen was lot 32728 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "Aquitaine. Edward III (1325-1377) Gros Tournois au Lion au-Dessus ND AU55 NGC. Simply exquisite and marvelously lustrous as opposed to the dullness familiar to collectors of medieval billon coinage, and with an obverse certain to pique the interests of even the most seasoned connoisseur."
