This specimen was lot 21005 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Las Vegas, August 2020), where it sold for $1,200. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRALIA. 100 Dollars, 1996-P. Koala series, Perth Mint. NGC PROOF-70 Ultra Cameo. Purported mintage: 200 (only in sets). Tied for finest certified of the date with one other example on the NGC population report. A bright and flash modern issue with a low mintage offering brilliant hard flashy fields and frosted devices. An attractive piece garnering a perfect grade from NGC and as such is highly sought after by specialist. Free of tone, haze or fog." The SCWC lists this type for 1997.
