This specimen was lot 71329 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. 50 Yuan, 2006. Panda Series. NGC PROOF-68 Ultra Cameo. A brilliant and attractive proof with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices, free of tone, haze or fog." The Chinese government has, since the mid 1980's, produced a mind boggling array of bullion related collectibles. The silver panda is among the more popular.

Recorded mintage: 10,000 proofs.

Specifications: 155.5 g, 0.999 fine silver, 70 mm diameter.
