This specimen, from a type issued 1985 only, was minted in Paris for Chad. Generally, Chad used the coinage of the Central African States, a monetary union of Equatorial Guinea, Chad, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Gabon and the Congo. However, on occasion, coinage was minted specifically for Chad.

Recorded mintage: unknown but rather scarce.

Specification: 11 g, copper-nickel, 30 mm diameter.
