This specimen was lot 1434 in Sincona sale 38 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 850 CHF (about US$1,020 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HONGKONG, Elizabeth II. 1952-2007 1000 Dollar 1975. Royal Visit. Polierte Platte. FDC. (Hong Kong, Elizabeth II, 1952-2007, thousand dollars of 1975, for the Royal Visit, Choice Proof.)"
This NCLT was used to commemorate a visit by HM the Queen. The format was recycled for a series of commemoratives honoring the Chinese zodiac, commencing with KM-40.
