This type was struck for Guatemala by the Royal Mint in London in 1932 only. Another type was issued 1943-44 after which no more two centavos were struck, suggesting that the denomination failed to find favor with the populace. The coin is common except in uncirculated.

Recorded mintage: 3,000,000.

Specification: brass, 25.5 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM 250.
