This specimen is one of a type issued since the reform of the peso in 1992 (one new peso = 100 old pesos). In 1996, the design was modified to drop the "N" in front of the "$" and has been struck in that form since.

Recorded mintage: 125,000,000 (large and small date varieties).

Specification: 3.95 g, bimetallic, 21 mm diameter.
