This specimen was lot 42142 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Oklahoma City, OK, August 2025), where it sold for $3,120. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Ducat, 1754-VH. Copenhagen Mint. Frederik V. NGC AU Details--Removed from Jewelry. Despite its status as a piece formerly utilized as jewelry, this SCARCE gold type presents a charming overall appearance with great detail remaining as well as some hints of brilliance." This type was struck 1753-56. Peter Nicolai von Haven was mintmaster at Copenhagen 1747-61.
