Andorra 1964-FM 50 diners

Stack's Bowers May 2025 Collectors Choice Online Auction, lot 74285

This specimen was lot 74285 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $85. The catalog description^[1] noted, "ANDORRA. 50 Diners, 1964-FM. NGC PROOF-66 Ultra Cameo." Andorra, a protectorate of France and Spain, isn't really supposed to issue coins but occasionally markets NCLT's anyway. This one was accompanied by a 25 diners (KM X9). The "FM" is probably the engraver's initials, not the mintmark of the Franklin Mint.

Recorded mintage: unknown plus more struck in gold and platinum.

Specification: 28 g, 0.900 fine silver, 38 mm diameter.
