Wurttemberg 1914-F 20 mark
This specimen was lot 6584 in Künker sale 354 (Osnabruck, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €12,000 (about US$16,700 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"REICHSGOLDMÜNZEN, WÜRTTEMBERG, Wilhelm II. 1891-1918. 20 Mark 1914. Sehr seltener Jahrgang. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Germany, kingdom of Württemberg, William II, 1891-1918, twenty mark of 1914, very scarce date, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1894, 1897-1900, 1905 and 1913-14. It is common and is a product of the Stuttgart mint (mintmark "F"). However, the issues of 1913-14 are very rare.
