This specimen was lot 1164 in Stacks-Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Genoa. 2 Scudi, 1640-iBSvs. NGC EF-45. Attractively toned, large size silver multiple." The republic of Genoa simultaneously struck scudi stretti, scudi largi, and double scudi (shown here). This type is listed for 1638-1719 tho not struck every year.
