This specimen was lot 4357 in SINCONA Auction 98 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 1,900 CHF (about US$2,756 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Schaffhausen, Batzen 1529, Schaffhausen. Selten. Sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Schaffhausen, batzen of 1529, Schaffhausen mint. Rare, Very Fine.)"
This type was struck 1514-15 and 1526-33. Most have four digit dates. At this time, one thaler made sixty kreuzer.
