This specimen was lot 2484 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $72. The catalog description[1] noted, "MUGHAL: Jahangir, 1605-1628, AR rupee, Ahmadabad, AH1036, citing Nur Jahan, chief consort of Emperor Jahangir, 1 testmark, Fine." Agra was one of seven mints to strike this rather scarce type which mentions Jahangir's queen, Nur Jahan. It is known for years 19 thru 23. This example should bear regnal date 22 or 23.
