from the Stack's Bowers 2020 Collector's Choice sale, lot 70400

This specimen was lot 70400 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it sold for $228. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 10 Kroner, 1908. Copenhagen Mint. NGC MS-65. Just a two year type and containing .1296 of an ounce of pure gold." The ten kroner shown here was issued 1908-09 in limited numbers compared to the larger twenty kroner. The last gold ten kroner is dated 1917.

Recorded mintage: 308,000.

Specification: 4.48 g, 0.900 fine gold, .129 troy oz AGW.
