Revision as of 21:24, 3 March 2025 by LatinKing2020 (talk | contribs) (Text replacement - "return to Guatemala" to "return to coins of Guatemala")
This type was struck for Guatemala 1925 and 1944-49. A similar type with slightly different lettering (KM 239.2) was issued 1928-38 and 1943. In 1949, the denomination was redesigned to place the Monolito de Quirigua, a Mayan stele, on the obverse, which design is still in use, tho it is no longer issued in silver. This date is slightly scarce.
