This type was struck 1994-2012 but 2003 was the last date struck for circulation. This denomination is no longer in production, Norway having gone almost completely cashless, but the old coins are still legal tender. This example was photographed in its original mint capsule.

Recorded mintage: 1,058,000 plus 14,097 proofs.

Specifications: 6.8 g, nickel brass, 24 mm diameter, segmented reeded edge.
