France 1750-A louis d'or

This specimen was lot 1317 in Goldberg sale 128 (Los Angeles, June 2022), where it sold for $2,100. The catalog description[1] noted, "France. Louis d'or au bandeau, 1750-A (Paris). Louis XV. Well struck with original mint fresh luster. NGC graded MS-61." The louis d'or au bandeau was introduced in 1740 and was struck at all the mints. Most issues of this type by the Paris mint are common but this one is scarce.
Recorded mintage: 19,449, a scarce date[2].
Specification: 8.15 g, 0.917 fine gold, 24 mm diameter, reeded edge, designed by J. C. Röettiers.
