The first specimen was lot 796 in Jean Elsen sale 160 (Brussels, November 2024), where it sold for €220 (about US$279 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"GRANDE-BRETAGNE, Richard Coeur de Lion (1189-1199), AR esterlin, Londres. Short cross. Type 4a. Monétaire Ricard. D/ B. cour. de f., ten. un sceptre. R/ + RICARD· ON· LVND Croix double, cantonnée de quatre croisettes. presque Très Beau. (kingdom of England, Richard Lion-heart, 1189-99, silver penny, London mint, short cross, type 4a, Ricard moneyer. Obverse: crowned bust facing, bearing a scepter; reverse: a double cross cantonned with four crosslets. About very fine.)"
