Mexico 1940 10 centavos

This type was struck 1936-42 and 1945-46 in Mexico along with a copper-nickel five centavos (KM 423), both featuring elements of the Aztec calendar stone found in Mexico City in 1790. The five centavos was switched to bronze in 1942, and the ten centavos would follow in 1955.
Recorded mintage: 12,300,000.
Specification: 5.5 g, copper-nickel, 23.5 mm diameter, reeded edge.
