This specimen was lot 3475 in Sincona sale 91 (Zurich, May 2024), where it sold for 3,800 CHF (about US$5,021 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Solothurn, Dicken 1642, Solothurn. Eingebuchtetes Standeswappen, oben und seitlich verziert. v MON[ETA v N]OVA v SOLODOREN. Rv. Doppeladler mit Nimben. The SCWC lists two varieties for this dicken of 1642: KM 26 (arms on cross) or KM 27 (ornamented arms, shown here), both very rare. Numista states this coin was one-third thaler; we think it was one-third gulden or one quarter thaler.

Recorded mintage: unknown.
