Stephen Album sale 47, lot 545

This specimen was lot 545 in Stephen Album sale 47 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "ZAND: Karim Khan, 1753-1779, AV 1/4 mohur, Shiraz, AH1178, type C, choice EF." Type C quarter mohurs were struck at Isfahan, Kashan, Khoy, Kirman, Mazandaran, Qazvin, Rasht, Shiraz (shown here), Tehran and Yazd altho not every mint struck every date. The Shiraz mint struck this type this year only along with a type D quarter mohur (KM 530.6).
