This specimen was lot 74132 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2024), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "ARMENIA. 100 Dram, 1998. Llantrisant Mint. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Commemorating the 1998 FIFA World Cup. Untoned and essentially flawless." Independent Armenia began issuing coins the same year as the ceasefire was signed with Azerbaijan (1994). This denomination was also used to honor the Olypic Winter Games (KM 79) and a seagull (KM 78).
