This specimen was lot 2267 in Goldberg sale 103 (Los Angeles, February 2018), where it sold for $2,056.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Alderney. 2 Pounds, 1992. For the 40th Anniversary- Reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Only 150 pieces struck. Rare. NGC graded Proof 68 Ultra Cameo." This type was issued in copper-nickel, silver and gold. All Alderney coins are NCLT's. Alderney is one of the Channel islands.
