from Stephen Album sale 32, lot 1379
Serbia SA32-1379r.jpg

This specimen was lot 1379 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $329. The catalog description[1] noted, "SERBIA: Obrenovich IV, prince, 1868-1882, para, 1868, highest graded at PCGS, PCGS graded MS66 BR. Incorrectly listed as KM-1.2 on the slab, but this is clearly KM-1.1, as is obvious in the illustration on NGC World Price Guide." This type was struck in 1868 along with a five and ten para (KM 2 and 3) but this denomination was not struck again. The SCWC notes varieties in the spelling of the obverse legend but does not explain what they are.

Recorded mintage: 7,500,000.

Specification: 1 g, bronze, 15 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM-1.1.
