This specimen was lot 1450 in Goldberg sale 128 (Los Angeles, June 2022), where it sold for $600. The catalog description[1] noted, "Iran. 1 Pahlevi, SH1342 (1963). Mohammad Reza Pahlevi. Pop 1; the finer of only 2 examples graded at PCGS. PCGS graded MS-66." This type was struck SH 1330-1353 and is common. It has the same amount of gold as the British sovereign. Gold 2½, five and ten pahlavis also exist.
