Gelderland 1607 daalder Dav-4849
This specimen was lot 1852 in Stephen Album sale 37 (Santa Rosa, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $565.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "GELDERLAND: Dutch Republic, AR lion daalder, 1607, light reverse scratch, excellent strike! EF." This type was struck 1606-19, 1622-38, 1676 but Gelderland issued leeuwendaalders from 1589 to 1700. The type is common but normally comes badly struck.
