This type is noted for 2003 and 2008 and superseded a copper-nickel type (KM 59). This specimen was brought back by a tourist. Indonesian coinage remains scanty for such a populous country. As of this writing (June 2015) US$1 = 13,220 rupiah.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 3.05 g, aluminum, 27.2 mm diameter.
