This specimen was lot 25046 in Heritage sale 3030 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $2,115. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mary with Henry Darnley 2/3 Ryal 1565, VF35 NGC, nicely toned and original with bold details, a pleasing example of this very scarce type. Without the Thistle revaluation stamp of 1578."
