The first specimen was lot 20465 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), where it sold for $460. The catalog description[1] noted, "Elizabeth II Dollar 1963, MS65 PCGS, original gray toning, very scarce in this designation." As silver coinage ended in 1967, this coin was massively hoarded and is available by the bag.

Recorded mintage: 4,179,891.

Specification: 23.32 g, .800 fine silver, .600 troy oz ASW.
