Colombia 1941B centavo rev DSLR.jpg

This centavo was struck in Bogotá, Colombia, of a type issued 1918-48. It was revived in nickel-plated steel for 1952-58. The earlier dates were struck at the Philadelphia and Denver mints, the later ones in Bogotá, leading to a flurry of repunched date varieties. A copper liberty cap centavo was issued in 1942-51, 1957-66.

Recorded mintage: 1,000,000.

Specification: 2 g, copper-nickel, 17 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM 275.
