This specimen was lot 531 in Sincona sale 78 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 160 CHF (about US$192 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA | Russian Empire and Federation | Alexander II. 1855-1881, 5 Kopecks 1875, Ekaterinburg Mint, EM. Good extremely fine. Minimal edge bump." This type was struck at St. Petersburg 1867-81 and at Ekaterinburg 1867-76. A silver 5 kopeks was struck at the same time and eventually superseded the copper type.
Recorded mintage: 19,624,000.
Specification: 16.4 g, copper, 32.6 mm diameter, reeded edge. This specimen 16.44 g.
