Peru 1937 centavo

This specimen is a later date of a series of bronze centavos issue in Peru 1901-49. Numerous varieties exist, depending on the spacing and size of the legends. This "straight centavo" was struck along with the "curved centavo" type (KM 208.2) also recorded for 1937. In 1950, the coin was changed to zinc.
Recorded mintage: 735,000 (including KM 208.2).
Specification: 5 g, bronze, 19 mm diameter, plain edge.
