Sincona sale 85, lot 1111

This specimen was lot 1111 in Sincona sale 85 (Zurich, October 2023), where it sold for 20,000 CHF (about US$26,932 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"IRAN, Muzaffar al-Din Shah, 1313-1324 AH (1896-1907). 1 Toman 1322 AH (1904/1905 AD), Tehran Mint. 2.84 g. Bust type. Moloud. KM -. Fr. -. Of the highest rarity, probably the only known specimen. NGC MS63. Magnificent condition. From the Kian collection, auction SINCONA 49, October 2018, lot 131. From the Mesrob Abgarians collection, Glendale, 1987. Finest certified by NGC. The Moloud type gold coins of Muzaffar al-Din Shah are only known in the weight of 2 Tomans."
