Scotland 1557 plack
This specimen was lot 2289 in Goldberg sale 115 (Los Angeles, February 2020), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "Scotland. Plack, 1557. Mary, 1542-1567. Crowned shield dividing M R. Reverse; Ornate cross with plain cross in center and crowns in angles. Some weakness in legend. Very Fine." The plack was four Scottish pence.
