Sincona sale 88, lot 21

This specimen was lot 21 in Sincona sale 88 (Zurich, May 2024), where it sold for 200 CHF (about US$264 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"IRAN, Safavid Dynasty, Soltan Hosayn, 1105-1135 AH (1694-1722). 4 Shahi 1133 AH (1721), Isfahan Mint. Vorzüglich, Leicht gereinigt; Extremely fine, Lightly cleaned. Purchased from Moussesian, Munich, in 1988."

This abbasi or four shahi, reduced in weight from KM 282.3, was struck AH 1133-34.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 4.62 g, silver, this specimen 4.51 g.
