This specimen was lot 73466 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2023), where it sold for $2,040. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Gold Proof "Pay Attention 007" 100 Pounds, 2020. Llantrisant Mint. Elizabeth II. PCGS PROOF-69 Deep Cameo. Struck to celebrate James Bond. Obverse: Bond's submarine-car facing above line; below, 'PAY ATTENTION 007'; stylized '07' in background; Reverse: Crowned head of Elizabeth II right. This rather whimsical piece displays an eye-catching design and nearly perfect proof surfaces with only the faintest touch of friction in the fields. A charming gold ounce for fans of the classic spy series." This NCLT was accompanied by a silver ten pounds and gold 25 pounds.
Recorded mintage: 350.
Specification: 31.105 g, 0.999 fine gold, 1.00 troy oz AGW.
Catalog reference: KM-unlisted; Fr-709, S-JB19.
