This specimen was lot 33205 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $7,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "Nearly-Perfect Three Graces, GREAT BRITAIN. Silver "Three Graces" 1000 Pounds (2 Kilos), 2020. Llantrisant Mint. Elizabeth II. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Maximum Mintage: . 2,010 g. Great Engravers Series. From one of the most collectible and iconic modern series, this mammoth "Three Graces" issue is truly stunning in terms of not only size, which is hefty, but in quality and eye appeal. Made as a commemorative issue to pay honor the great engraver William Wyon, this piece gives the feel of the classic design with modern minting technics and flare one would expect from the Royal Mint. Includes original, and rather ornate, box of issue with original acrylic holder and metal mini plaque indicating what the item is and serial number "24" that matches the Certificate of Authenticity." This denomination was also used for a "Three Graces" 1000 pounds in 1 kg gold (Fr-690).
