Sincona sale 43, lot 2035

This specimen was lot 2035 in Sincona sale 43 (Zürich, October 2017), where it sold for 1,200 CHF (about US$1,432 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Bamberg, Bistum, Marquard Sebastian von Stauffenberg, 1683-1693 Taler 1691. Nürnberg. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. Hübsche Patina, NGC AU55. (Bishopric of Bamberg, Marquard Sebastian von Stauffenberg, 1683-93, thaler of 1691, Nuremberg mint. Very fine-extremely fine, Attractive patina.)"
