This specimen was lot 30508 in Heritage sale 3042 (Long Beach, September 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mary Testoon 1556 AU58 NGC, First period, Type IIIa. A highly attractive piece from Mary's teenage years, highly original with lovely tone and surfaces. The strike is well executed but for a small portion of the rim below the obverse arms. A charismatic offering and a prize for the connoisseur of this period."
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 6.11 g, 0.917 fine silver.
Catalog reference: S-5404.
