This specimen was lot 31871 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $258.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Gustaf V Proof 25 Ore 1914-W, PR66 NGC. A gorgeous coin with brilliant luster and attractive toning. Ex: 'Colonel' E.H.R. Green; Green Estate' Partnership of Eric P Newman / B.G. Johnson." This type is listed for 1910-19 and 1927-41. The early dates, including this one, are scarce compared to the later dates.

Recorded mintage: 3,719,232.

Specification: 2.42 g, 0.600 fine silver, 17 mm diameter.
