This specimen was lot 326 in UBS sale 85 (Zurich, September 2010), where it sold for 525 CHF (about US$599 including buyer's fee). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND, Hohenlohe-Neuenstein-Langenburg, Grafschaft Gemeinschaftliche Prägung. Taler 1609. Zwei Helme nebeneinander, darüber die Jahreszahl. Rv. Nach links sprengender Turnierritter. Gutes sehr schön." (County of Hohenlohe-Neuenstein-Langenburg, thaler of 1609. Two mantled helmets, date above; reverse: knight riding a galloping horse. Good Very Fine.)
The catalog lists this coin as issued by Hohenlohe-Neuenstein-Langenburg but the SCWC lists this under a unified Hohenlohe; separate coinages commencing in 1622. This type was issued 1603-10 and is expensive.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: silver, this specimen 28,29 g.
