This specimen was lot 20144 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $3,000. The catalog description[1] noted, "ANGOLA. 10 Reis, 1694. Pedro II. NGC VF-35 Brown. An incredibly RARE piece, this example offers problem free, reddish-brown surfaces with darker highlights. Highly pleasing and assuredly worthy of an elite bid." This type was struck 1693-99 along with five and twenty réis.
