This specimen was lot 3992 in Goldberg sale 85 (Los Angeles, June 2015), where it sold for $306. The catalog description[1] noted, "Italian States: Sicily. 4 Tari, 1555. Carlo V, 1516-1555. Crowned bust right right. Reverse: Eagle. Toned. NGC graded AU-53." The portrait is of Charles V of Spain. The Spanish Hapsburgs ruled Naples and Sicily as part of their Aragonese inheritance from the death of Ferdinand the Catholic in 1517 until the death of Charles II in 1700.
